FAQ / Uploading photos to Flickr
I took a photo with my cameraphone, but ZoneTag didn't ask me if I want to upload it to Flickr. What now?
Wait. If you're using the Motorola ZoneTag client, then all is not lost. See instructions here.
If you are using the Nokia ZoneTag client, doh! Sorry, that means ZoneTag was not running on your cameraphone. ZoneTag needs to be running (although it does not have to be on screen) before you take a photo. See How to run ZoneTag.
My photo isn’t showing up on Flickr! What's wrong?
That sucks. Let's assume that ZoneTag was running and you chose to upload that photo (well, if you read all the way down here, you've probably figured you have to run ZoneTag and how to do it). Sometimes, ZoneTag may have problems contacting the server to upload your photo (e.g., if Flickr is down, or you move into a weak cell signal spot). If ZoneTag is unable to complete the upload after several attempts, the photo will be placed into a queue and be uploaded with the next photo you take and upload. Remember, when your photo is successfully uploaded to Flickr, the photo filename in your phone's image gallery will be prepended with the letters "ZT".
If all that didn't work, well… we'll take the "it is a prototype" defense. We apologize for the inconvenience. Tell us what happened at zonetag-feedback@yahoo-inc.com
How do I upload the photos stored on my phone to Flickr?
If you have a Motorola ZoneTag client, see the instructions here.
If you have a Nokia ZoneTag client, you have to decide whether to upload your photo at the time of capture. If you choose to not upload it at that time, you will not be able to use ZoneTag to upload it later. You will need to use traditional methods to upload photos stored in your phone gallery to Flickr.
